Home of the high flying 1/2 mile! Great racing! fast speeds!!
Decent track if you're only interested in half of the race. Move the trucks and trailers out of the infield so fans can see the race. You can only see the far side of the track from the top third or so of the grandstand so for most fans you only see the front straight and turns one and four, lots of stuff happens that leaves you wondering what is going on. The fans really weren't engaged in the races much at all and looked at us funny for clapping after a particularly exciting race. The food was decent and reasonable, the concession lines moved quickly and the announcer was good. Most of all the quality of the races and variety of cars was good.
If you like dirt track racing, then I guess this suffices.
I've been coming here for 30 years. It is a large fast track with top notch competition. The track surface is local clay that has a mind of its own and is moody as all hell. The quality of the show you see depends on track conditions which change by the minute. There is always at least one of the 6 classes that race here weekly that will be worth the admission price.
